Napoli wins Serie A title for the first time in 33 years
Celebrations have gone on through the night in the southern Italian city of Naples, after their football team, Napoli, secured their first Serie A league title in more than 30 years.
A 1-1 draw away to Udinese saw them clinch the championship for the first time since 1990, following decades of dominance by clubs from the country鈥檚 richer north.
Vincenzo Credendino, reporter and Napoli fan did not sleep all night and said there was "an incredible connection between the team and the city of Napoli and when the team return they will not be able to go out" for fear of being mobbed.
It is the first time Napoli have won the league since the legendary Diego Maradona starred for them in the 1990 and 1987 campaigns.
