Hants thwarted by flat Kent pitch, injury and illness.
Hampshire had to settle for a draw with Kent after taking less than half of the wickets they needed on the final day in Canterbury to win. The County could only claim four of the ten wickets needed as, stubborn batting, an "increasingly slow dead pitch" (according to skipper James Vince), injury and illness combined to deny the visitors. Kyle Abbott bowled just two overs early on day four before leaving the field with a knee injury. James Fuller could only bowl after lunch owing to waking up feeling under the weather.
