Ukraine expects G7 to send Russia ‘strong message’
G7 leaders are in Hiroshima for their annual summit with promises of new sanctions against Russia over its war in Ukraine.
Britain and the EU have indicated they want to restrict trade in Russian diamonds while the US plans to cut off about 70 companies from US exports.
Sergiy Korsunsky is Ukraine's ambassador to Japan. He told Newsday they expect the G7 to “end with practical solutions not just statements”.
