Meet Barsik, a Ukrainian dog rescued from the frontline by a soldier.
He was hit in a rocket attack and had his leg amputated but has since found a new home in the US courtesy of animal rescue, Transform A Street Dog. Its founder and director, Mandy Allen told Newsday: 鈥淭here was a soldier who actually took Barsik off the battlefield鈥is leg was blown off by a grad rocket missile. The only place they could take him was a regular doctor鈥nd they saved him.鈥
