'It was the right decision for my life' Wolverhampton City Councillor steps down to spend more time with her family

A Labour councillor who rose quickly though the ranks at Wolverhampton City Councillor and was tipped to become an MP - has stepped back from local politics to spend more time with her family.

Beverley Momenabadi was the youngest labour councillor, when she was first elected to represent the Ettingshall ward in 2018 and rose to become the cabinet member for children and young people.

But working full time and fulfilling her council duties, left her feeling drained after 5 years and she decided not to stand in this year's local elections.

Beverley's been speaking to our Political Reporter.
