A water recycling firm and brewery in California have teamed up to create a beer made from recycled water.

Epic OneWater Brew, from Epic Cleantec and Devil鈥檚 Canyon Brewing Company, is made from water recycled from showers, laundry and bathroom sinks in a 40-story San Francisco apartment building, where Epic has onsite equipment to capture, treat and reuse water for non-drinking purposes.

Aaron Tartakovsky is co-founder and CEO of EpicCleantec. He told Newsday: 鈥淲e took鈥�greywater鈥�and put it through an advanced purification process to produce bottled water quality and then we brewed beer with it鈥�We created these beers to鈥�show people the untapped potential of water reuse.鈥�
