Making beer from recycled water
A water recycling firm and brewery in California have teamed up to create a beer made from recycled water.
Epic OneWater Brew, from Epic Cleantec and Devil鈥檚 Canyon Brewing Company, is made from water recycled from showers, laundry and bathroom sinks in a 40-story San Francisco apartment building, where Epic has onsite equipment to capture, treat and reuse water for non-drinking purposes.
Aaron Tartakovsky is co-founder and CEO of EpicCleantec. He told Newsday: 鈥淲e took鈥reywater鈥nd put it through an advanced purification process to produce bottled water quality and then we brewed beer with it鈥e created these beers to鈥how people the untapped potential of water reuse.鈥
