'The more minutes that pass, the more damage it does'
Christine, from Bracknell, suffered from a hypoxic brain injury in 2015. It left her with a range of complex health conditions that require around the clock care and this was funded by the Continuing Health Care, a fully-funded NHS package of care and accommodation for those whose needs are considered to be complex, intense, and unpredictable. This was up until recently when during an annual assessment found she was now ineligible for funding. Her son, Mark, has been fighting for the funding that both he and his mother desperately need - a fight that's cost thousands of pounds.
