'We hope to inspire other churches to provide nesting sites'
A pair of Peregrine Falcons have nested on the tower of St Mary鈥檚 Church, Hinckley, and for the first time they've successfully hatched a chick.
St Mary鈥檚 has set up a live stream into the church coffee bar, and for several weeks regulars and visitors have been watching the birds take care of the eggs, hoping that this year they would have a chick. Finally, the wait has been rewarded.
Now they're hoping to inspire other churches to provide nesting sites.
Jo Bostock has been to have a look with Vicar of St Mary's Reverend Ian Hill and church warden and 'keeper of the falcons' Steve Townson.
