Leicester hosts 'Radio 2 in the Park', the radio station's biggest-ever live music event outside London on 16 and 17 September.

Australian pop star Kylie Minogue is to headline a weekend of acts including Tears For Fears, Bananarama, Texas, Simply Red, Busted,Soft Cell.

Radio 2 presenter Scott Mills has been searching for a Leicester-based ice cream vendor to help him realise his Kylie Minogue-inspired dream of an ice cream van that plays Kylie's hit song 'Padam Padam'.

Gez Varney, who delivers ice creams from his van around the Saffron Lane Estate in Leicester, volunteered his services to Scott on Radio Leicester's breakfast show.
