A Leicester lawyer turned DJ who began her journey into the music industry during lockdown is set to hit the party island of Ibiza for a summer club residency.

Kavita Varu began dj'ing when lockdown meant she couldn't celebrate her 50th birthday with friends in person, so dusted off the turntables and set about creating a party playlist to host the celebrations online instead.

The experience inspired Kavita, who is a lawyer by trade, to pursue DJing even further, and following bookings in clubs across the UK she's about to 'hit the decks' on the sunny party island of Ibiza.

Kavita tells Ben Jackson about her surprising journey from the courtroom to clubland.
