West Midlands Mayor on bus fare increases
National Express are to increase bus fares across the West Midlands in order to protect services.
Fares have been frozen for the past six years.
An all day ticket is going up by 50p from the 3rd July from 拢4 to 拢4.50, weekly passes are going up by two pounds.
National Express West Midlands spokesperson said: 鈥淲e鈥檙e pleased that in the face of a difficult inflation environment, we鈥檙e able to protect the bus network and still have the cheapest all day ticket price of any city region in England at 拢4.50. Our day ticket remains cheaper than in 2017.
