Why did the Titan sub get more attention than Greece migrant boat?

Just over a week ago, a fishing vessel packed with an estimated 750 migrants sank off the coast of Greece. The UN has called for an investigation into Greece's handling of the disaster, amid claims more action should have been taken earlier.

That hasn't garnered the same level of international attention and resources as the search for the Titan sub, which has ended in the deaths of all those on board. The sub got huge media attention - and a massive search and rescue effort. The boat sinking in the Mediterranean? Not nearly as much.

Why the disparity? Newsday's James Copnall asks Judith Sunderland, associate director for Human Rights Watch鈥檚 Europe and Central Asia division, and Emma Stevenson, the Deputy CEO of Choose Love, a UK-based NGO supporting refugees around the world. First, Judith explains that there just wasn't the same level of urgency in the Greek rescue efforts.
