The One with Georgia Adams
The Southern Vipers star talks cricket, captaincy, finding herself and loads more!
In many ways, it was inevitable that Georgia Adams was going to get into cricket.
After all, her dad is former Sussex captain Chris Adams – and some of Georgia’s earliest memories are of watching him play, throwing a ball around, and itching to get into the game herself.
That’s exactly what she’s ended up doing – and now plies her trade for Southern Vipers, who she captains.
In fact, she was the Vipers’ stand-out player in their Rachael Heyhoe Flint trophy-winning team of 2020 when she was the competition’s leading run scorer with 500 – and when they retained the trophy in 2021 – and honestly, she’s an absolutely brilliant guest to chat to today.
There’s so much in here – the art of captaincy, the growth of the women’s game, allowing herself to be vulnerable, accepting her own sexuality, and so, so much more!
There are some guests you just click with instantly, and Georgia is one of them – and we really, really think you’re going to love this one.
