Marketa Vondrousova hails historic Wimbledon win an “important” moment
Marketa Vondrousova is the first unseeded player to win the Wimbledon women's singles title after beating Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur in the final.
Speaking to Sportsworld’s Delyth Lloyd after claiming her first Grand Slam title, the Czech player said her Wimbledon win is an “important” step to hopefully more major tennis titles and also shared her homecoming plans for when she returns home to Prague.
