Kerr ‘wants a World Cup moment like Cathy Freeman’

Sam Kerr’s parents discuss the importance of their daughter representing multicultural Australia.

Australia’s record goal scorer and captain, was inspired by Cathy Freeman’s gold medal winning race at the Sydney Olympics and is the face of the 2023 World Cup. She is looking for her team’s own iconic moment where a nation stops to watch.
