Stourbridge: Exclusive interview with Ryan Passey's father

Police have reopened a murder investigation into the case of a man stabbed in a Stourbridge nightclub 6 years ago.

24 year old Ryan Passey died from a single wound to the heart during a night out at Chicago's in 2017.

At a trial the year after, 19 year old Kobe Murray admitted stabbing Ryan, but said he had "pushed out" during an altercation in defence, not intending to use the knife.

A jury acquitted him of murder and manslaughter.

Since then Ryan’s family have campaigned for an independent review into the way West Midlands Police dealt with the original investigation.

That has now happened, carried out by the West Yorkshire force – and 18 recommendations were made and at the end of last week West Midlands Force said it accepted all 18 – and has now relaunched its inquiry.

'We miss Ryan so much everyday' - Ryan's father, Adrian Passey gives his first media interview.
