New 大象传媒 documentary series on disappearance and death of Dorset teenager
A new three-part documentary is airing on 大象传媒 Three featuring the tragic story of Gaia Pope.
The 19-year-old was found dead 11 days after she went missing in Swanage, in 2017, having been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder.
It followed an allegation she made about being raped by a man when she was 16, which was not pursued by police.
Gaia: A Death on Dancing Ledge will see Zara McDermott exploring whether officials did enough to support her.
In a new development, Connor Hayes, the man she accused of attacking her has told the documentary makers he 聽鈥溾β爉aintains his innocence and adamantly denies raping Gaia.鈥
He also denies sending any threats. 大象传媒 South's Steve Humphrey has been reporting on the case since Gaia went missing, and shares details on what to expect from the documentary.
