As England took on Denmark in the group stage of the Women’s Football World Cup, Woman's Hour joined a group of fans at the Baller FC viewing party in east London.

Baller FC was set up by a group of friends who were struggling to find a pub where they could watch women’s football matches.

Now, they run a range of events to give women a space to enjoy football together.

Some of the fans who had gathered told us why it’s so important to have these spaces and they shared their thoughts on the game, which England won 1-0.
