When Chebet gave birth to her first child, she was thrilled to be a new mother. But after a few weeks, she found herself withdrawing. She started struggling with self-doubt and negative thoughts and eventually began hallucinating and feeling suicidal. Chebet was later diagnosed with postpartum psychosis.
