GCSE results: what next?

GCSE results in England, Wales and Northern Ireland have fallen for a second year running. 68.2% of all grades were at grade 4 or above, equivalent to an old C. It brings results close to where they were in 2019 - the last year that exams were sat before covid. Exam were cancelled in 2020 and 2021 with results based on teachers’ assessments instead. Parents and students spoke to Chris Warburton about this year’s results.
