Mike Slater spends over 70 hours a week improving habitats for the county鈥檚 butterflies. In the UK, 80% of butterfly species have decreased in abundance since the 1970s - but in Warwickshire it鈥檚 just 10%. Mike is the Chair of Butterfly Conservation Warwickshire and has been nominated for a 大象传媒 Make a Difference Award in the Green category.

He told 大象传媒 CWR's Rosie Eaton that the work of him and his fellow volunteers is helping the creatures thrive.
