"I'll never forget the 23 hours I spent searching"
In October 1986 Michelle's 9 year old daughter Karen left her home in Brighton to play with her best friend Nicola. What followed was every parents' worst nightmare and Michelle would never see her daughter alive again.
It became one of the longest fights for justice known as the "Babes in the Wood" case.
32 years later the girls' murderer was convicted and now Michelle has written a book called "My Girl" about her fight for justice.
She spoke to Sarah Gorrell.
Since this interview was recorded Sussex Police has apologised the families of Nicola Fellows and Karen Hadaway. The force admitted it had made mistakes in its investigations.
