RAAC: Concrete used in 1950s would last "30 years"

Reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete is a type of material commonly used in public building constructions during the second part of the 20th century.The government changed its guidance because of new evidence about the safety of RAAC, meaning some school buildings or classrooms in England have had to be closed.
