David Harewood - A Poignant Portrait
The current Earl of Harewood has commissioned the portrait as an 鈥渁cknowledgement of their shared history". The 大象传媒's Katie Razzall was given an exclusive preview.
The actor, David Harewood, has visited Harewood House near Leeds - the stately home of the Lascelles family - to see his portrait. It was commissioned by the current Earl, David Lascelles, as an "acknowledgement of their shared history".
In our latest 5 Minutes On podcast, the actor explains to the 大象传媒's culture editor Katie Razzall, that it's not easy being in the house which was built with profits from the slave trade, especially as his ancestor was once "owned" by the Lascelles family.
