How do you keep ice rinks frozen and the fans cool, without adding to climate change?
More and more we are hearing from athletes who are concerned about the environment and using their platform to raise awareness.
Ice hockey player Jacquie Pierri, is in a unique position to combine her sporting career and her studies off the ice, of the ice.
Jacquie plays professionally in Italy for EV Bozen Eagles, but she's also a climate scientist who happens to specialise in refrigeration!
She told Sportshour's Caroline Barker "if sport can be a model for a greater life, each person does make a difference. In a hockey locker room, someone who has a negative attitude can bring down the whole team... So, I don't think people should underestimate how much their individual action can have a ripple effect and really make change."
