R2 in the Park: 'We finally got our Sam Ryder first dance'
Sam Ryder wowed the crowds at Radio 2 in the Park in Leicester's Victoria Park, but it had a special meaning to one Leicester couple.
Here's the message Emma and Carl sent us on social media:
"Was so excited to finally see Sam today. We had booked him for our wedding at Southwood hall on 1st June 2021. We had to delay because of Covid and he couldn't do our new date, as he was working in Europe..... what he meant was he was doing EUROVISION!! Today we got our Sam Ryder first dance like we originally had planned. Slow dancing in a sea of people bopping to his upbeat tracks. It was emotional. Sam is such a talented but genuinely nice guy. He deserves his new fame!! Sam you were on fire today ?dd25?dd25. Keep being unapologetically you! Thank you for the memory. X"
