Israel urges Palestinians to leave Gaza as attacks continue
In Israel and Gaza the numbers of people who have been killed rises by the hour.
Almost 500 people have died in Gaza, after Israel launched massive airstrikes in retaliation for gun and missile attacks by Hamas gunmen. According to the United Nations 123,000 Palestinians have been displaced.
At least 700 people have been killed and more than 100 taken hostage in Israel according to the country's authorities.
A resident in Gaza told Newsday of her "harrowing" experience under bombardment and how the strikes are being felt by people on the ground. Evacuation locations are struggling to accommodate people while electricity is limited.
The Israeli government has told civilians living in Gaza to leave. However, the resident says there is nowhere to go.
