Footballer fulfils father's lifelong dream to play for Sierra Leone
Curtis Davies played in the Premier League for four different clubs including Aston Villa. He was called up to the England squad at senior level but never played a match. At the age of 38, he announced that he would accept a surprise invitation to play for his father's homeland Sierra Leone.
He told Newsday: "I dedicate this to my Dad... After speaking to him about it I could hear the pride in his voice. It's never too late to engage with your roots."
