'I fear for us' Stourbridge FC chairman
Stourbridge FC chairman Andy Pountney says he fears for the future of the football club because of issues surrounding the lease to their War Memorial Ground. The Glassboys, who play in the 7th tier of the football pyramid share the ground with the local cricket club but the land is owned by Dudley Council.
The football club, whose junior section included future England star Jude Bellingham, say they're having to turn down funding from various sources because the lease runs out in under 10 years time. They're calling for the local authority to negotiate the terms with them to enable them to progress like other West Midlands non-league teams have done.
