Launch of Sports Personality of the Year鈥檚 Unsung Hero award
Today sees the launch of Sports Personality of the Year鈥檚 Unsung Hero award.
For more than 20 years the award has celebrated volunteers who make a positive impact in their community by enabling participation in grassroots sports.
All entries must be received before 23:59 GMT on Monday, 30 October 2023. The overall winner will be announced live at the Sports Personality of the Year awards show, which will take place in December at MediaCityUK in Salford.
Gymnast Max Whitlock is SPOTY鈥檚 official Unsung Hero ambassador. Max has been speaking about being chosen as an ambassador to Summaya Mughal, and also how he started to learn how to cut hair during the pandemic.
