The Diwali Basket Brigade is an annual event organised by The Diwali Foundation, which has been running since 2018.

It is a community initiative run and funded on donations by local volunteers and provides food hampers to vulnerable households, from all faiths and backgrounds in and around the UK, ahead of the festival of Diwali.

This weekend the charity is hosting an event this Sunday in Leicester, where they'll be packing loads of food hampers, which will then be distributed to the needy. They have previously worked in Birmingham, London and Manchester.
