The Fifa game fan who is putting the Seoul into Scunthorpe
Taehoon 鈥淎ndy鈥 Ki travelled 9,000 kilometres from South Korea to watch an English non-league football team he fell in love with when playing an online game.
His love for Scunthorpe United 鈥 who play in the sixth tier of English football 鈥 started when playing the football game Fifa Online 3.
Former Scunthorpe defender David Mirfin was one of the players who was in his squad and he鈥檚 been following the club ever since.
In January 2019, Ki made his first visit to the club鈥檚 Glanford Park when he also met the club鈥檚 players, but he returned in October 2023 when he heard that Scunthorpe could be forced to leave their home stadium.
He made the last-minute decision to make the 14 hour trip to the UK to watch what could have been their last home game at Glanford Park.
