New York Yankees’ Brian Cashman sleeps out to help homeless youth
New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman continues to raise awareness of homelessness through an annual Sleep Out.
Cashman spends a night each year sleeping on the streets of New York in aid of Covenant House, an organisation whose goal is to help youth and young families facing homelessness and trafficking.
The most recent Sleep Out he was involved in took place in Times Square, but he admits that “one night to help raise money isn’t anywhere close” to what those involved in the programme are going through.
