‘It is very much a living museum’
Finland's ambassador to the UK, Jukka Siukosaari, explains why he's backing calls to preserve a little known piece of Olympic history - a Finnish sauna from the 1948 Olympic Games - which would protect it for future generations.
Today the sauna is located in Kent in the south of England, having originally been part of the athletes village and used by athletes at the first post-war Olympic Games in London.
The Finnish Sauna Bath is thought to be the oldest functioning sauna in the UK to get listed status, and the oldest Olympic sauna anywhere in the world.
