Mobility scooter taken after phone assessment
A woman from Leicestershire had her mobility scooter taken away after a dispute with the Department for Work and Pensions.
Sandra Cutland from Braunstone says she’s been using a mobility scooter for more than 20 years and has a number of disabilities which affect her movement.
She’s recently been re-assessed and has been told she can’t have the scooter anymore. The carers allowance for her husband David is also ending as a result of the new assessment. The couple are due to take their case to a tribunal.
Simon Ward has been to meet them.
