The castle that inspired Walt Disney is pretty in pink again
A Scottish castle said to have inspired Walt Disney has had its famous pink colour restored to its full glory.
The animator and film producer is believed to have based his designs of fairy tale castles on Craigievar, in Aberdeenshire, after seeing pictures of it.
Extensive conservation work has been ongoing for more than a year to protect the historic building and its collections from the effects of climate change.
The National Trust for Scotland described Craigievar as a "beautiful pink castle".
