MBE for three decades of nursing
In 2024's New Year's Honours James McLean has been awarded an MBE for services to nursing.
He has spearheaded the delivery and uptake of the nursing associate role across all regions of England, with over 22,000 trained or in the process. He led and created the top up support program to allow nursing associates to convert to registered nurses and fulfil the 50,000 ambition on nursing workforce.聽
James told Chance Litchfield how he felt about the honour.
