Pilot explains Japan Airlines collision
Former Virgin Atlantic captain Barry Eustace explains how a Japan Airlines plane collided with a smaller Coast Guard aircraft.
Five coastguard crewmen aboard the smaller plane were killed in the crash but, incredibly, all 379 passengers and crew aboard the Japan Airlines Airbus were evacuated.
Investigators are still searching for the flight recorders from the Japan Airlines plane to determine exactly what happened.
