The Spine Race ultramarathon, visits Alston
This year Jack Scott has won the brutal Spine Race, which is run over seven days, across 268 miles of some of the highest and toughest terrain in the UK. Starting in Derbyshire it follows the spine of England through Yorkshire, Cumbria and Northumbria, finishing north of the Scottish border. Jack has smashed the race record by 10 hours, finishing in 72 hours, 55 minutes and 5 seconds, and with only 54 minutes sleep!
