Horizon scandal 'destroyed' family run Post Office
A former Leicestershire postmaster, who has given evidence to the Post Office enquiry, says changes need to be made at the organisation.
Julie Beisner ran the post office in North Kilworth from 1996 to 2021 and came under suspicion of accounting errors. The branch had been ran by Julie Beisner's family since 1847, but she was forced to pay back money because of the faulty Horizon IT system.
More than 900 sub-postmasters were prosecuted across the UK accused of theft and false accounting based on evidence from the faulty Horizon software. The scandal has been described as "the most widespread miscarriage of justice in British legal history".
Julie tells 大象传媒 Leicester's Rob Watson that she wants to see changes at the Post Office at every level.
