Haweswater rainforest
A rare example of a temperate rain forest in Haweswater, is recognised as a globally rare habitat that rivals the Amazon in importance, and is one of Cumbria's hidden gems. Not a Orangutan in sight maybe, but for the curious, dripping bark and spongy moss has its own magical quality.
