Leicester comedian Kev Mud has won the UK Pun Championship at this year's Leicester Comedy Festival.

Since its introduction in 2014, The UK Pun Championships has become a huge part of Leicester Comedy Festival – now in its 31st year. A celebration of the great British pun, contestants enter from across the UK to compete for the title in a battle that takes place in a real boxing ring, surrounded by a boisterous live audience at Leicester's De Montfort Hall.

Kev Mud has achieved great things in just 18 months after picking up the microphone, and has held his own amongst some of the UK's most established names at The British Comedian Of The Year finals.

Kev told Letitia George the story of the night and how he feels about the win.
