A look around Leicester's oldest theatre

The Leicester Comedy Festival is well and truly underway, with comics, poets and stand ups of all different varieties showcasing their best stuff across the city.

One of the iconic venues that has seen some of the comedy greats grace its stage is Leicester's Y Theatre.

Originally built as a Christian lecture hall in 1900 it is now known as The Y Theatre and is Leicester鈥檚 oldest surviving theatre.

Ady Dayman went to meet Hannah Torrence, the Theatre and Arts Manager at the Y, to find out more about the venue's history and its association with the Leicester Comedy Festival.
