Call for Leicester volunteers to raise guide dogs
A Guide Dog charity is looking for dog lovers in Leicestershire to volunteer to become puppy raisers.
Guide Dogs really are a lifeline to people with partial or complete sight loss, and the puppy raisers play a key role by introducing them to a variety of environments to increase confidence.
At the end of 2023 the charity had 3,458 working guide dog partnerships in the UK.
Ben Jackson spoke to Jenny Mee from Guide Dogs and Angie Waite, a current puppy raiser, who brought along Nora Batty, her current guide dog in training.
