Triathlon club member to run Nottingham 10K in support of motor neurone disease charity
Nottingham Triathlon Club member Chris Thorne is taking part in a campaign launched to highlight the short lifespan of people diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND).
The Fifty50 campaign was launched by Sam Perkins from East Leake, who was 37 when he was diagnosed with MND in March 2019.
It involves him recruiting 50 fundraisers - individuals or groups - to raise at least 拢500 each over the next 12 months.
Mr Perkins has raised nearly 拢200,000 for the cause already through his charity Stand Against MND.
