10,000 mourners expected for funeral of Leicester Imam
Thousands of people are in East Leicester this morning, attending the funeral of a well respected Imam who served the city's Muslim community for 40 years.
Hazrat Maulana Shaykh Adam Saheb was a patron of Jame Mosque in Asfordby Street in Spinney Hills. He died on Thursday 7th March 2024.
Reporter Giles Taylor joined a large prayer gathering taking place on Friday morning at Spinney Hills Park.
