My son's Liverpool school choice just disappeared
Pupils who applied for places at a new Liverpool secondary school have been told it will not be opening because it does not have planning permission.
Nearly one hundred families are affected as Kings Leadership Academy Wavertree was due to open in September this year.
Secondary schools in Liverpool are oversubscribed, and the new school was intended to relieve some of the pressure felt by other schools which have long waiting lists and are full to capacity.
