Having a Mayor: Candidates, campaigns & a deleted ad

Following the thrills, spills, faffs and gaffes of the 2024 race for Mayor of London.

'Having a Mayor' follows the thrills, spills, faffs and gaffes of the 2024 race for Mayor of London. 大象传媒 London's Political Correspondent Karl Mercer, alongside Political Editor Tim Donovan, and Political Reporter Susana Mendon莽a - will dissect and discuss the latest issues, debates, candidates, campaigns and more.

This week, with the campaign launches of Labour and the Lib Dems out of the way, attention turned to the Conservatives and the Greens. What did our trio make of the Tory candidate Susan Hall's approach to campaigning? And what did we learn from the east London launch of the Green candidate Zoe Garbett?

Plus - we'll discuss a Tory advert that had to be deleted because it featured scenes from New York instead of London.

And - in what Karl likes to call 'tales of the trail' - we'll find out which politician is bad at pool, and which of our three presenters lived up to their reputation as fashionably late!

We'd like to hear your questions about the Mayoral election, your thoughts, observations and...don't be shy, your rants. Whatsapp the team on 08000 321 333 starting the message with 'London'. Or email hellobbclondon@bbc.co.uk

Note: This programme was recorded by 3pm on Thursday 28/03/2024 - before the official list of candidates was announced. The full list is on the 大象传媒 News website)
