Johnnie Walker and the Essex pirates
Radio presenter Johnnie Walker has died at the age of 79, two months after calling time on his 58-year career because of ill health.
Johnnie's life in radio broadcasting started in 1966 on Swinging Radio England, before moving to Radio Caroline and later joining 大象传媒 Radio 1 in 1969.
In this interview from 2017, Johnnie remembers the 1960s offshore radio broadcasts from the Essex coast.
