The state pension is rising by 8.5% from April for the UK鈥檚 12 million pensioners. The increase is in line with earnings as part of the Government鈥檚 triple lock. It means that those on the basic rate will received 拢169.50 a week and those on the new flat rate with get 拢221.20 a week.
